Rhythm + Hues Signs Brian Scott Weber

Rhythm + Hues Commercials has added director Brian Scott Weber to its roster of live action and VFX directors.  He joins R + H from A Common Thread.

“Brian is a true filmmaker who has a contemporary and uniquely exciting look to his film, which is enhanced by his expertise with visual effects,” says Rhythm + Hues Executive Producer Paul Babb.  “He is one of a handful of directors who totally understands how to tell a story within the confines of the commercial, music video, and interactive world.”

Weber was born in Belgian, raised in Brooklyn and attended Columbia University, where he studied Architecture. He’s best known for creating visually cinematic, thematically subversive work that manages to be both dark and playful at the same time. Weber’s use of in-camera effects and photo-real VFX has served both his career and clients well, as witnessed in a recent vampire-infused commercials for Busch Gardens titled “House of Vayne” and “Raven Twins,” a half-piping car spot for Chevy and music video work for Dashboard Confessional.

Weber’s commercial client list includes Chrysler, L.A. Fitness, Lee Jeans, the New York Knicks,  Lukoil, Pioneer, Universal Studios, Verizon and a PSA campaign for ZeroMeth. Earlier in his career he was represented by such production companies as Palomar and FM Rocks.
